Good amp for a JL 10w3v3.8 8 ohm sub

Looking for a good amp that will power this sub. Pretty much any amp will power it just want to get a good amount of power to it for cheap.

Well since it's 8 ohm then you want to stay away from monoblocks as they don't exactly make a whole lotta anything at that high of an impedance. Get a normal 2 channel 2-ohm stable per channel class AB amp and bridge it. Since the amp will still only supposed to output half the power because it's an 8 ohm sub then just get anything that does 200 watts per channel or more at 4 ohms stereo, it'll run cooler too because it'll be an "easy" load. Crunch GP series is good and cheap.

at 8 ohms you might get 200-250w out of it.

Better choices:

kicker zx850.2

pb asa800.2x

Power Acoustic has some big 2 ch's that would be in the ballpark if you're looking for a budget option -- bamf2600/2 would work ok

A JL 300/2 (or 300/2v2) would be PERFECT for this sub. It will put out a solid 300w @ 8 ohms bridged and you could probably find one used around $200.

If you go with that one then you're gonna get like a bit less than 200 watts out of it to an 8 ohm sub, but it'll kick *** once you get some subs that can better match the impedance.
