i want to build a tiny ported enclosure for my little creative 2.1 sound system for my pc as the one it came in sounds like balls cus theres more port noise than u can imagine. My question is what kind of tuning do you go for on a home audio system? ive got a little box designed for 33hz but is that sq/spl ratio of this low of tuning only applicable to car audio?

usually lower than car audio enclosures, you don't have as much cabin gain to help you reinforce the low end.

33Hz would be fine for a little experiment/fun project such as this.

actually ive been thinkin that for a while, how would u set something like that up as far as keeping the satellites since my current sub amp is what powers them as well

just take the sub out of the box and extend the wires from the existing sub to the new sub. that is what i did on my computer speakers, made a WORLD of difference

i'll hail to that, i replaced these crap logitech subwoofers with my B-52. AND BOY OH BOY DID IT BOOM.

pick up a small plate amp, then...like a 50 or 100 watter...

then i could get an re8 (50$ right?) im then thinkin maybe i could hook up the sub outs from the sattellite amp into the speaker level inputs. better than any system u can get ripped off for at best buy at least
