I have one 15 inch sony explod sub 400 rms 1400 watts max in a sealed enclosure powered by 1200 watts at 4 ohms brigded... my question is if I was to get a dual enclosure with another explod what differences in bass and loudness would I notice... would it be worth buying? I wanna impress my freinds so the louder the better. Dont tell me this sub sucks it was recommended over the other subs in the shop including JL and RF 15s in the same price range and im very pleased so far. Also is dynamat a good way to improve bass response?

if i was you i wouldnt be buying sony explode period...there stuff is waaaay over-rated, its not known to last to long, and the SQ is just crap

if you want good subs for cheap i would look at somthing like fusion powerplant or an alpine type r

a friend of mine had 2 fusion powerplant 15's and he was setting off car alarms at volume 10, and i think he only paid like 200 each //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

whoever recomended sony explode over JL must have had down syndrome cause that has to be the stupidest thing ive ever heard

Agreed, although for the record i don't like JL either. But i'd DEFINITELY recommend JL over Sony, that's just common sense.

You would most likely see a nice difference in the SPL department if you added another sub AND (key word there) can power both of them.

But, if it's not too late, i'd recommend some different subs. If not, we'll try to help make the most of what you got.

Oh, and what amp do you have by the way? Just curious.

its a lanzar 248 2 channel amp... not to great I know but it seems to power this sub fine even to distortion where I have to turn the gain down some. When I have everything turned to max on the sub and turn on my headlights they dim slightly but its not to noticable but I never run it that high I just want loud bass with less power.
