ive been driving bikes for a couple years now but never had my license. im pretty sure im going to pass but if i dont do i still have to pay for the temps test?

In NY when you buy your permit, you get 2 tries on your road test "for free", before you need to spend the money and get a new permit.

is insurance really that high for bikers, especially younger ones?

Is it difficult to get a bike license at 17 or 18?

everyone around here who has a bike and is young..ride without insurance. rates would be like $3-500/month one of the guys in my class who just got a bike was sayin..i never checked into it.

i wouldnt purchase insurance, personally. stupid, but cheaper.

yes.

Yea, driving without insurance is an awesome reason to end up in jail....

= cheaper. cops around here dont even check mostly anyways. im not condoning it, so dont take it that way. but cops around here pretty much have the attitude..if you kill yourself..oh well. waste of time to chase you when youll just run anyways. if you make it home, you live to fight another day.

So what happens when you wreak into a parked car and cause 10K in damages?

well if your dumb enough to hit a parked car..then your only option would probably be run away.

...do you go around hitting parked cars?

it only makes sense to steer away from the parked car..in my logic.

i atleast try to aim for moving cars..accuracy is key.

i took a motorcycle driver safety course offered by the local Honda facility, took 2 days to complete easy as all hell. They pretty much make sure you pass as long as you arent a cocky dick head. They give you the certification and you can go to the DMV and get the class M added to your license for like an additional 8$ fee. The certification is good for a life time but the course is re-takeable for insurance discounts and such.
