Going loud with quality?

According to soniceletronix this is what my car uses: (2002 Gran AM SE)

* Front: 4" x 6"

* Rear: 6" x 9"

* Front door: 4" x 6"

* Rear side panel: 6" x 9"

So it's 2 front speakers with 2 separate tweeters on top and 2 rear speakers. What should I go with if I in the future want to implement amps and a good *** bass so you can be heard loud with quality. Or anything for competition.

Help is greatly appreciated, I have very little exp, I used to have a car with some sound but didn't really know much about it. This time I want to know everything I can plus try to install it myself.

Doesn't really help. I've searched before, I can't seem to find anything reliable. I am pretty new myself and need a little bit more than general comments about X or Y.
