Going in my first SPL comp...

I'm running a JL 1000/w amp to a Alpine Type X sub. It's in a built to spec sealed box (sounds awesome). I know there's a lot of haters on the Type X, but i'm willing to bet i'll hit above 140+. Do you think I will?

Also, what's a good song to play?.. Thanks.

just kiddin on the bet..but i dont think most people will build their box to spec for an X..more specs on the system though

with that box i'd run a 50hz tone and see what results pop out

well i ran a single 10 hcca sub with a horrible electrical system and hit a 139 on the old mic, so im guessing it was about a 135 on the new mic, if u do burps i would say probably a 140, but install is a biggie, hope u do well though

I'll post my results Saturday night/Sunday morning. If I hit above 140+ i'm happy, anything less it was a dissappointing day. A person who has been going in Sereo comps for years and doing stereo installs for years says i'll hit 142 or **** close to it.

if the old mic maybe, but if its the newer mic im not sure about that but i maybe wrong, that X will have to be really hittin in that sealed box to pull a 142

I can play either, which tone would be best? I'm taking the tone would be much better than the song?
