going from 15" L5 to 2 12" L7's

right now i have my 15" L5 in a box thats 5 cu ft and tuned to 32 hz. but i just ordered 2 12" L7's and i was wondering if i could use the same box just replace the part of the board that i've cut or put another board on top of it and cut it for the 2 12's?

yea 5cu ft is about right for 12 l7's if thats after port and sub displacement

i know it's after port displacement but i'm not 100% sure if it was sub dis to. i need to check it. and after adding another sub in it it will shrink it a little more. also it's tuned to 32 hz right now is that still going to be good for the L7's?

yea i have my box around 33hz is 5.2net after all displacement

the displacement of another sub wont make much difference on the tunning since u r going from one 15 to 2 12's

but if you wanted you could add another 15 to that box and make it a lil bigger and it would be really loud

thats what i wanted to do in the first place but thats all the space i have. thats why i went with 2 12" instead of 2 15".

yea if u could squeeze another 1-1.5cuft u could run another 15

i wish i could but it's in an acura integra and 5 cu ft is the max i can get. i could get a little bit more if i built the box into the trunk but i still want to be able to get the box in and out of the trunk incase i need the space for something

nah i wanted to stay with the square...so what kind of numbers are you hitting with yours??

well for now it's just going to be off my zx750.1 but hopefully that wont be for to long. i plan on getting a zx1500.1 to run them with. right now with the 1 15" i'm hitting 140.8 on the dash and 141.5 in pass kick panel. i could hit a little betting if i tuned a box alot higher but the comps are pretty much over here so i'm not going to worry about it untill next year

wat kind of car do u have the box in and how is it pointed

and for a long time i was running that zx850.4 on the subs giving each one 425rms

it's a acure in integra and sub and port are both firing up it's a square port tuned to 32 hz.
