Going for SPL..

A friend of mine is looking to upgrade his current sub setup (Kenwood POS) and is wanting it geared mainly towards SPL. He's got a 1000 watt amp to run hopefully 2 subs off of and limited space (single cab Ranger)..

Anyway, do 3 or 4 8's or 10's if he's got enough room back there. I heard 4 8L7's sealed in a regular cab Tacoma and it hit pretty hard.

Well it'snot for a competition or anything he just wants it to hit hard. I wasn't trying to be a dick but we're in highschool and doing a "blowthru" isn't feasible and would be ridiculous in a '91 Ranger..

What's the mounting depth on the L7's?

And what about type R's?

there was a guy on here over the summer, who happened to be one of those guys that are SO 'fly' that they actually TYPE in ebonics...... who had a wall in either a sebring or a stratus..........

Do some research on your own.Folks here arent going to feed you everything you need to know. But if you try to help yourself and then ask reasonable questions that havent been answered 3423432 times,this is a great place to get help.

We'll I'm more into the SQ scene and have extremly limited knowledge as far as the whole SPL thing goes..figured I'd try but I guess not
