going back to prison

maybe. went out to a bar with my gf's mother and brother. a biker bar here in denver. long story short, i'm playing pool and this moron comes up behind me and rips my shirt off. i mean literally. grabbed it from the back collar and ripped it off. i still don't know why he did this, but i lost myself completely. now, the deal is, the whole bar backed me up and they all stated it was self defense. problem: i'm on parole. bigger problem: assault was 1 of the reasons. the police officer (who was actually really cool) has to notify my parole officer what happened. 1- i'm in a bar, which is a no-no. 2- i had been drinking, although i wasn't drunk. 3- in my younger days, i had a big problem with fighting. 4- i just completed 3 years of anger management classes only to get in a fight not long after. i've done really well on parole for 5 straight years without any blemishes. i'm just nervous that elements of life and past history are going to work against me on this one. my PO called me and wants me to come to the office tommorow.

well, i hope that you don't end up going back, sounds like you are trying to get back on the right track and get your life together.

but don't be so stupid with putting yourself in bad situations. you knew going to a bar was not allowed, but you went anyway. you probably knew that there was at least some possibility of that bar being one where a fight could break out, and you went anyway. you should know yourself well enough to not put yourself in those situations, and you should know that drinking is not good in combination with putting yourself in a bad situation.

just be smarter next time.

Parole + biker bar, usually isn't the smartest idea.

Sucks man. Did you get a copy of the police report to take in just incase your PO doesn't have it on hand for your meeting. Would be good to show it was self defense and just beg mercy on the drinkin part. Hopefully its your first fukup and they show leniancy

I find it kind of odd that a guy just walked up to you and ripped your shirt off though, that just seems kind of.......weird. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

this was just some random dude, you've never seen him before?

it's the only thing i've done in 5 years. my family-in-law are tight with most of the bikers and i only go to bars where they know me and them. this guy didn't.

When on probation/parole it is best to just totally keep away from everyone, I had to do 18 months probation on a suspended and I just moved like 100 miles away from the city, quit hanging around with my friends and just chilled for those 18 months.

Kinda sucks to have to change your life but when the system has you by the balls sometimes there is not a choice and you just gotta do what is best for you.

Good luck man hope everything turns out right, if it is written up as self defense then you probably have a good chance of not getting in trouble UNLESS part of your parole was not to go to bars.
