god****it i **** at lacquering

my cabinets were pwning all haters until i had to lacquer them...now they look like kinda shitty. if u just glance at 'em, they look like beauty. but when u get up close, they look terrible. what is a good primer and lacquer to use (those are the problems because i can't tell if the shit is dry enough w/o touching it and sometimes it's dry in 15 minutes, other times in 40 minutes)?

yep. the problem isn't with the lacquer i don't think, but in my surface prep.

really in school if we had runs we would sand the runs, then just re spray it, and if it is really gritty sand it with liek 320 then use a tack cloth
