God did not create the universe

All there is, is an idea. An idea backed by mathematical formulas that are good enough to get you through 7th grade science, only later to be falible once one leaves the atmostphere.
The atmosphere doesn't have much to do with how gravity works. At least, not how I understand it to work. But then, Im no physicist, so what do I know.

I dont think the idea of how gravity works is a mystery. The atomic model shows us the attraction of mass is based upon polarity differences that arise from the nucleus/proton interaction.
There is more than one basic force in the universe

Very true. However, I meant more specifically 'outer space'. Gravity has a presence, and we don't know WTF is going on with it.

Our very limited understanding of gravity only works on the surface of the Earth.
Not true. NASA uses it's knowledge of gravitational pull in order to plan and predict trajectories/paths for moving objects in space. Just because things float in space doesn't mean that there isn't some sort of gravity being acted upon them.

Gravity is considered a constant law of the universe. The only place Im aware its considered to 'break down' is in black holes, where we really dont understand much of anything.

Im drinking today, so take my comments on the origins of the universe with a huge grain of salt. Tomorrow I'll probably reread my posts and smack myself.
