Plus with the advances in communication, bad weather is easily reported. It could have done this forever. With satellite, internet, etc. We can see a bad storm anywhere. Not so easy in the 30's,40's,50's.

Its like when there is horrible violence everyday. Its always been that way. I believe I read somewhere we have had less than a week of peace on the earth ever? Anyone know if thats right or what book?

carbon dioxide isn't necessarly bad, its the over-abundance of it that becomes a problem.

carbon dioxide isn't bad at all in the atmosphere. plants use it and turn it into oxygen. the problem would arise with lack of adequete vegetation.

Honestly, I think most the human population will die off from raised temperatures and then the few remaining will have to repopulate and the earth will go back to start.

I'VE GOT AN IDEA!!!! LETS GET RID OF ALL THE CIGARETTES IN THE WORLD!!!! That would do 3 things: Cut down on carbon dioxide, decrease cancer, and make all the girls that smoke more attractive!!!

Umm, this year in vermont it rained in December like five times, and there's no snow on the ground. I don't even know what to do with myself, this IS NOT NORMAL. I remember the winters ten years ago and it was harsh, last year and this year have been nothing like it used to be. Personally I think global warming will effect us a lot sooner than many people think. Will we stop it? Probably not, but once it really starts to pick up, we're ephed man =(

carbon dioxide is not harmful like carbon monoxide. as a matter of fact, earth would die without carbon dioxide. carbon dioxide is necessary.

i know, carbon monoxide is deadly, iirc they make a carbon monoxide detector for homes now incase the levels get too high. but the burning of fossil fuels is the largest contributor to the levels of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere right now.

btw i had to take a mandatory environmental class at my university, and they drilled this stuff down our throats. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

but see thats where you are wrong. cholorflourocarbons and other gases like methane are much more harmful to the environment, but are no where NEAR the levels that carbon dioxide are. but im done, im not going to debate environmental issues over the internet, so believe what you want to believe.
