Global warming and me

gettin a motorcycle in spring

Doing what I can to conserve energy,

Going to school for mechanical engineering, hopefully I get to work on more fuel effecient cars, that go fast ! weee.

yeah global warming is a much bigger issue than you are making it out to be. and just a //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif we are already feeling the affects. stronger hurricanes, coral bleaching, the oceans in europe around spain have become so warm that the jellyfish population has surged. oh and another //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif if the polar icecaps melt, we are totally screwed //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

Don't worry. If it gets too bad, Jesus will come back and take care of it. Think about that!! If it sounds like BS, I say we all get really stoned and then continue this discussion!

I agree and disagree. We have documented our weather systems long enough to really know if this is "normal" or not. I mean today's weather isn't even a record. Its happened before. Now 1,000 years ago, what was the temp? That would help us with this problem.

yeah but if you study the trend of temperatures from the past 1000 years, there is a steep climb at the beginning of the industrial revolution and the introduction of coal burning, i.e introduction of carbon dioxide.

I think we should make a sticky that says if someone wins the lotto past 100mil on here, ALL members should get a free ticket to like CES to hang out. That would be a good time. Could be more than a quarter million, good tax guy could get that dudected.

Global warming won't be prevented.

and for those that ask the question, ''well carbon dioxide isn't really a bad thing, i mean it is natural." thats true, but since there is such a surplus of carbon dioxide, it causes too much plant growth in the wrong places. in ponds for example, all the algae on the top of the water grows rapidly, and it becomes so thick it blocks the suns rays from reaching the life below the water. same thing for deserts, plant growth is rapid, but it only contributes to more widespread fires. lots of dry plant growth + no rain = big fires. and didn't we just have a lot of bad fires this past couple months? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

weather in the 30's and 40's in the midwest was horrible. droughts, floods, blizzards. seems to me the pattern has done a change and the coasts are now getting the more unpredictable weather. i'll bet it's a pattern that's been that way for thousands of years.

maybe we should all quit running as our exhale is carbon dioxide. you mean monoxide.
