you know the more and more i read about Jesus christ, other than a helluva holiday that gets me presents every year, i dont see much difference between him and all these other cult leaders that swear they are the son of god.

and dont tell me water into wine, walking on water, and coming back to life because magicians do that shit all the time! maybe jesus was just the first magician!

figured id throw that in since this turned into a jesus debate.

i still say good riddance to this stupid stupid girl and shame on her parents that they didnt get her help earlier.

Is your argument based on the possibility that it could end us all? Or are you worried that scientists might be able to figure out how to do something that thousands of years of organized religion preached could only be done by a "god"?

Many times. Often he is answering but people refuse to listen. That isn't so uncommon. Many people in general don't listen to anything and ignore the cautions around them on a daily basis.

If they learn the power of GOD it will not be handled responsibly. First the threat of ending the world is real because no one has a full understanding and 100% sure what will happen. Secondly if we do harness this power it will no doubt be used against man or eventually misused in a manner that threatens the whole planet. This is proven by they way we have handled every discovery since fire.

I disagree - religion is the most irresponsibly used power humanity has ever wielded. It's been misused by many all through history, and continues today.

What makes you think that religion is the "correct path"? Perhaps the religious people are the ones who are "misguided"?Both sides can have argue the same thing, neither side will win.

I'm religious but also have common sense. Everyone thinks their religion is the right one and what their religion says is right.
