The only difference between having a restraining order and not will be the simple fact that he can't contact her before he kills her. If he wants to kill her, a piece of paper isn't going to stop him.

You're better off letting it play out and not doing anything, maybe a little bit of talking with her but... There's at least a 50% chance it's her fault he acts like that! Could be you next.
