Hit up this place and start reading.**** that $hit is fresh as can be.im thinking bout doing fiberglass box in my caprice but idk everything i need
can u pm me a list
this was my first time working with that fabric. pulled it kinda tight. should have pulled it even tighter. when the resin hit it, it got more relaxed and started loosing it shape. insted of stopping and rewrapping, i just kept going and reshapped the peices with filler. i didn't mind cause they aren't big at all.Shit you did alot of fiberglass, keeping your fleece pulled ALOT tighter when you first resin would make the finishing work alot easier though, no gaps wrinkles or mass ammounts of bondo needed.
Finished work looks good though, wrappin or painting?
yes resin will seep thew but, their will not be any tiny holes. and yep, spray adhesive worked just fine. And what is this screen product you used for the first layer?? Obviously isnt fleece and looks pretty stretchy, Im accustomed to using fleec, but dont like how thick it is on the backside of the piece when you wrap it around, this stuff looks paper thin.
the label on it at the fabric store said "sheer stretch". and that it is.. super stretchy like wemen's stocking. this stuff will stretch 2-3 time it's leanth. and is best for saller pieces like kicks, pods, and tweeter pods. because it does not hold much resin sence it's soo thin. and fitment is more precise.
Can you just put resin right ontop of that black "stuff" and it doesnt leak through??? and you adhere the black stuff to the wood with simple spray adhesive??
x2 awesome buildnext time you glass, dont use a whole sheet...take the mat and rip (not cut - ripping allows the pieces to blend together much easier) it up into little pieces and do it all seperately. it'll be a lot easier to avoid bubbles and keep the shape you want.
edit - looks good though!
