most likely memphis audio - but dont know if i should go for soft or hard dome - i got the aluminum ones they came with now but something is wrong with one and i like em but almost everywhere i read says get silk...

Metal-dome tweets have a tendency to be "brighter" (sometimes read as 'harsher') than fabric-dome builds.

If you like the sound of the ones you already have then my suggestion would be to replace them with a like design.

If they were a bit overly bright or harsh-sounding to you try the silks and see how you like those.

well since i got the Memphis audio Msync speakers - they can be mounted as coaxial or you can take out the tweeter and mount them as compoents - i had them mounted seperately at first - but it was destroying my ears so i dropped them back into the speaker...

also what about ribbon?

Ribbon tweets (as well as any other tweeter not made by Memphis and designed to run with the crossover you already have) are going to want external equalization to make them operate to potential.

You can't just take a passive crossover network designed to run with specific drivers and add other drivers to it expecting optimal results //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif
