getin back into car audio

Hi my name is Tommy. I'm just getting back into the car audio scene after about an 8 year absence. I currently have an 01 silverado ext cab and am looking to get back to listening to music the way it was meant to be heard and felt.

My biggest question that I desperatly need aswered is this. With the current budget that I have to work with I can either buy the bottom of the line TR series JL Audio stuff or the top of the line Phoenix Gold stuff. Why is PG equipment so much cheaper now. I hade PG M50 and M25 amps in my 92 Silverado and they weren't cheap. Now thy seem to be about half what they use to cost.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Howdy!!

There are a lot of new compaines out there that I'd look into b/4 going with JL or PG. Just look around, use the search function, nad don't be afraid to ask questions.
