So I'm trying to get all my music off my ipod. Itunes sees it. But I'm in Vista, and it DOES NOT show up as any sort of drive in My Computer.

No program that is supposed to do this (ephPod, SharePod, not even the iTunes Disk Drive thing, which doesn't show up on my iTunes) is working.

I have all my music on it, and my new computer needs to get my music! Can someone who actually knows stuff about computers help me out?

I think the music is stored in a hidden folder. Find it and then use the add folder to library in itunes.

my computer doesn't see the iPod as any disk (it is not there) so i can't do that.

Burn your songs to cd's in i-tunes. Then copy the cd to mp3 on your computer.
don't want to waste the CD's. I want to just transfer them right over

try this:

Hold down the Shift and Ctrl keys while connecting the iPod to your computer.

Don't let go of Shift+Ctrl.

If iTunes doesn't open automatically open after connecting the iPod, open iTunes.

Don't let go of Shift+Ctrl.

Wait until the iPod comes up in the Source list under DEVICES (it may take a while, but don't let go of Shift+Ctrl)
