Germs power handling....

so try bi-amping them....at least they have adjustable xover, should able to get great sound anyhow- just fiddle with the different tuning options. Think of it as Quasi-active:)

if i bi-amped them, i'd only have 75w right? because its 75x4.....i dont think thats enough to divide up between mids and tweeter......i think im gonna just bridge the amp

Hmnnn...75 per tweeter, 75 per woofer...as opposed to 150 bridged divided by the two? At least biamping you are directing the power to each driver.

What would be the benefits and dis-advantages of this? I have a JL 300/4 and I currently have them bridged at about 115 watts per side right now. Would bi-amping be worht the time of running new wire to the trunk?

Would you recommend 100 for the mid and 50 for the tweeter?

Also, 727kid, how do you like the way they sound? I've never heard them and I don't want to waste $450 if I don't like em.

Wire is cheap, find out for yourself...

Plus once the wire is ran, you can go active anytime.

I like them a lot, I still need to deaden my doors and what not though.

On these Eclipse XA4000, XA5000.. check power output with DMM, they seem to to be way under rated at lease in bridged mode... my XA5000 is putting out 33.5V bridged.. thats like 260W a ch @ 4 ohms.. and the Germs are ******* it up and loving it.. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/yumyum.gif.0556df42231b304b9c995aefd13928a8.gif

well i have an ea series, i wonder if they are as underrated......i hope 150w is enough cuz thats all i got!
Sorry, thought I read XA in profile.. anyway..

EA seems to be as rated, I just swapped out a EA 4000 for a XA5000... want another one... let me know... its for sale...

150W will work great.. BTW
