GCMO red wire?

Hi

My new sony xplod head unit is always on even when the ignition is off. You would think that i got the constant 12v and accessory 12 V mixed up, but i rechecked them and they were correct. I have a 2001 pontiac sunfire and installed a gmco peripheral harness.

I used a multimeter and found out that the red wire coming from the gmco (red is supposed to be accessory according to their manual) always has power even when the ignition is off. It is only supposed to have power when the ignition is on.

Any solution would be greatly appreciated.
