GCAdidas's search for perfect positioning

I have a set of CDT HD-62's. The midrange of the CDT HD-62s will go in kicks that are pointed toward about 6" in front of the opposite listener.

What position (a-pillar, sail, door, dash) should the tweeter (CDT drt-26 silk) go in order to create the perfect positioning?

When I do have the perfect positioning, what key items should i listen for in order to know that I have it right?

Please know that these two tweeters are being highpassed at 4khz with 12db/oct slope, and are the only speakers I have the opportunity to use in the near future. Meaning yes I am trying to make the tweeters sound right without any other speakers playing in the car.

Please help!!!!!

Good blending... no nastiness from being smeard across a windsheild... whatever sounds the best...

Blending, imaging, soundstage, spaciousness, etc.

You shouldn't be able to tell where the sound is coming from. You should, however, be able to basically point at where it is over your dash in the soundstage.

You should try hooking up your individual midbass and tweets one at a time, turn it on, and test the imaging. If you not like where it is, try switching to polarity to see which one sounds the best; lather rinse, repeat for the rest.
