Gas Tank Repair

hi everyone

so my friend was installing a box and drilled into his rear trunk area to secure it with brackets. unfortunately one of the screws went through his trunk area and punctured his plastic gas tank.

ive heard from another installer than you can get some kind of gas tank repair kit to seal it up for a permanent fix.

so far all ive found online is the permatex fuel tank repair kit, which doesnt work on plastic fuel tanks.

if any of yall have a lead on something that can safely repair a PLASTIC tank please let me know, thank you very much.

if its metal take it (Empty) to a radiator repair shop,they can solder it and pressure test it

if its the plastic type - junk it
