New computer is in the mail, I'm worried about it. I plan on using kaspersky, tor, snort and pgp encryption, and kismet network sniffer. I'm gonna wait until I have my router reconfigured at my apt. to connect to the internet. Would Wimax be worth the money over free dsl security wise?

You know how you said they have hacked your computer. Why would you post on hear what you are going to get and stuff so then they can already have a way around it. I would just make a your old computer a fire wall. In between your router and your computer. So it's a little harder for them. I'm thinking about doing that with my old computer. Take linux and follow a little guide.

OP just curious can you pickup wireless from people around you? You could always get a laptop/USB wireless thing and leech off other people. Alternatively I think you can take android phones or whatever and make the internet on your comp route through that instead of using your normal ISP. It's not as fast but a bit safer. Also, look into something like cyberghost VPN. It encrypts all in going and out going network packets.

Oh. Good point. I was going to use it and a webcam as a dash cam though. Could you pm me some software if u have any suggestions. Are keytracers a concern? Good point, not like its a secret tho.
