Well I'm heading out to FSU for college next semester, and I really need a Nice Laptop to take with me. I am just wondering how much for a nice Gaming Laptop and where can I find a good price on one. Don't really want top of the line stuff, but i would like it to be as good as my normal computer (WOW).

Gaming laptops aren't worth it. Just bring your desktop to school. And buy a $1k laptop if you want/need to take it to class.

If you're still looking for a gaming laptop, ibuypower.com makes some good stuff for a decent price...you could also get a desktop from there, too.

After going to a college that required me to get a laptop with certain specifications, I'd do what was suggested and buy a desktop and a cheap laptop. I took my laptop to class only when I had to, and anything we did in class did not need the most technically sound laptop (as long as we could download Matlab, Autotek Inventor, and Cygwin/Textpad and have it work efficiently). Now, after the first year, laptops aren't even needed for the classes, so now I'm left with a laptop that will rest on my desk for the span of 3 years. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

in all honestly man, for the price of a gaming laptop you can buy a good laptop for class and a gaming desktop for the dorm and have money left over.

honestly I already have a nice Desktop, I just didn't know if i was going to take it with me our not. I am definately going to take it with me now (brothers are screwed haha) and get a laptop for classes/ homework.
