AC on or windows down also depends on the speed your going. If he was in town below 45mph, aerodynamics don't really come into play.

I never said it wouldn't adversely effect mileage, just that in newer vehicles it is less of a detriment than dropping your windows and creating a massive aerodynamics failure.

and i have numbers to back up that not in all newer vehicles is it better to have your air up, its much more vehicle dependent, so there is no one real answer...
