Tanks guys...we spent the better part of 6 months gettin this together....the pics don't really do it justice for sure.
Um ...air bag issue has something to do with a low speed impacts I guess...not sure tho as I didn't really get into it with him...was just glad to have a nice place for a front screen lol.
I wanted a total "alien" theme, so I got those huge House of Kolor prism flakes and put them on with the first coat of clear to give a "star" effect. 4 more coats of clear to bury the flakes....started sprying at midnite, left for an hours sleep at 8 am, and back to it by nine //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif 14 pieces in all to paint!. Turned out not too bad for my first paint job, but I think a good cut, buff and polish will make it a bit nicer. Kinda looks like dust in the pics, but they really are stars!
All Fusion PowerPlant equipment. FPC-65 comps up front (2 sets), set of tweets in the dash, the other in the kicks.
Powered by a FP-1402 2 ohms for the mids...280 watts per door, and an FP-402 for the tweets, 2 ohms, 80 watts a side.
Doors are .6ft...tuned to around 60Hz. Was a lot of research to figure that one out. No specs available for the drivers, so had to measure them myself....that took a day and a half to get right.
Laid some glass to the door, then mada a mould of the OEM panel edge, attached that to the back, formed some ports, made some rings, then glassed the whole mess.
These doors have a good 6 dB gain with the ports, over a sealed or IB design.
2 FPW-1200 subs off a FP-9001D Class D amp @ 1 Ohm....1100 watts.
There's still a bit of tuning to do, so I don't have the loom on the cables to the trunk lid yet. The sub boxes were another challenge to port.
Made the alien head, and set the small amp, battery, and power dist under it.
Carved the face into the plexi, but don't have a good pic yet of it lit up....it's ghostly in green.
Custom console, 4 buckets, a bit of dash paint work, and lots of restoration to the plastic to remove the gouges and scratches.
Body kit was lots of fun to fit too. was close, but no cigar when we got it, so we had to massage that for a while to get it tight.
