fuses

My 4 channel has 2 40 amp fuses, so should the wire fuse be 80? but that doesnt seem to make sense, it should just be 40 right?

The fuse on the wire is there to protect the wire, therefore you will fuse based on the size of the wire. The fuses on the amp are there to protect it.

40a for the left side, and 40a for the right side of the amp=80, so yes an 80 will be just fine,
