Ok well to start the story off, today was my first day without any track practice. So as you can imagine i got pretty bored quick. It was a beautiful day out so I decided i'd play with my car a little bit. Decided I wanted to hide all my wires but doing carpeting or something. I couldn't think of any idea's really. Decided I wanted to try and seperate the front part of the trunk were my subs/amp is away from the rest of it. It was pretty nasty looking b/c you could see all the wires and edead in the trunk. So I measured up some wood and make some cuts and put the wood off from the sides of my box. Its hard to explain but once you see the pictures it'll be a lot easyer to understand. Got them all in and screwed in. I had already lad a little bit of carpeting down just infront of my box. After putting the "wings" on my box i decided it needed more work. I got some more carpet and got it to swoop down from the top of the trunk and stapled it to the top of my box. Had a very good little trick in doing this. I might tell it later, who knows. I know its not profesional looking but owell. I'm just starting and i don't think it looks to bad...

I like it. Id carpet the rest of the box, too.

Oh yea, forgot to mention. In doing all of this I happened to make a little tiny whincy bitty mistake. When i was rewiring my amp I was wiring the power wire in my disto block. I wasn't paying attention and i let the alan wrench touch the metal in the trunk. After a nice displace of sparks and almost fusing my alan wrench to the trunk I quick pulled it off. Wired everything else up and went to turn on my amp. Turned her on and nothing happen. Sat there a minete scratching my head and then checked all my fuses. All were good, so i go and look under the hood. My inline fuse was blown. Now i need to goand find a new 100A fuse for it. The one local car audio store around here doesn't carry them, but can special order them. So i'm systemless for a while untill i can get a new inline. Kinda ***** after all that work I did making it look nice just to have to go and break it. Owell, what makes this hobby fun....hehehe

Couple sellers on ebay have them at good prices......

check out trucktunes or thundertronics.....more than likely will be MUCH cheaper than having them ordered by a local shop.

Edit: shouldnt you have had your power disconnected?

Yea, I should of disconected it. Didn't think about it b/c i hadn't originaly planed on taking the amp out and stuff......

I like the idea... but dont like the green... looks like something that would belong on the floor at someones house... if you changed the color and the carpets size (meaning not as thick... and long of strands) then I think it would look REALLY nice!

Well, he could glue some dirt in a oval around the subs, make it look like a track field. Maybe call up the west coast customs for some ideas too

I know its ugly as hell, but like said above, bordum is a horrible thing. The carpet will be replaced with normal carpet once I get around to getting it. That carpet was just there for a demo look, if ya know what i mean. It is my NO MEANS the final carpet!!!!!!!!!!
