I really don't want to get rid of these mids, but I had an unforseen car problem that I need to get some cash for.

The mids have only been test powered once by me on a home receiver, and sound perfect. There is a small nick in the magnet on one of them. Looking for $170 shipped.

I've got a noobish question: Can these be run as midbass drivers without a separate crossover, or are they intended to be used with a 2-way Xover and tweets?

Yes, they are extremely good, and in fact specifically designed for dedicated midbass speakers.
You can always run tweets with these mids if you want to as well. You could go "active", which means using the crossover adjustments on your HU and amp and/or using an external equalizer to fine tune.

Do you have a spec sheet on these? They are 4 ohm SVC, correct? What is the power handling?

They are 2 ohm svc, power handling is 150 watts RMS according to RE, but they can take a lot more than that.
