I gotta let it go. This amp can do 250x4 @ 2 ohms continuously, not peak.

Also can use any ohm sub on the rear channels as it is switchable for 4 or 2 ohm and 1 or .5 ohm.

I refinished it in black. You cant beat it. Powering my whole car now, but wont fit so I had to remove the trunk liner. So many features and crossover high enough for active. Plus direct mode that bypasses the crossovers and boost circuitry.

Envisionelec (a veteran amp designer) broke it down here for me - READ THIS

amp gurus, I have a question - DIYMA.com

Basicly 250x4 is reasonable listening to music, not sine waves. Great amp

Dont really want to sell it but it needs a new owner and I needed to simplify and use a narrower amp that would fit so I got a dcref 1000.4 which eliminates my need for the Audiocontrol eqx as well.

$250 shipped

and its heavy

The controls connections area that are covered by the aluminum sheath was left red so you can still see all the settings. Pics available on request of anything. Amazing build quality, amazing components, huge power, the end of mobile ES. They dont make it like this no more (for this price)

200x2 + 500x1 rms with music

or

500x2 @ 4 ohms

Cant trade for subs unless you have an audiomobile evo or new alpine type r shallow t line.

I have a stealthbox and need a sub 10" that takes power and is less than 5.25" deep. My IDQ v2 10 cant keep up at high volume.

Oh I forgot treo made amps. No thanks, I like the DLS amp more as far as a trade. I would trade for a nice and powerful 3/5 channel but dont need speakers.

I do need a zapco dc ref 200.2

General info :

Size: 21"W x 3-5/16"H x 12"D

Single-ended push/pull design for stability at 1 and 0.5 ohm

Discrete differential inputs for reduced noise

Dual power supplies

The C and D channels can be set for Hi-Current or Hi-Voltage operation; the A and B channels are permanently set to Hi-Voltage operation (the A and B channels cannot be switched to Hi-Current operation).

The Hi-Current and Hi-Voltage modes differ as follows:

Hi-Current Mode allows you to connect a speaker or combination of speakers with an impedance as low as 0.5 ohm for a stereo load, or 1 ohm for a bridged load, to the C and D channels.

Hi-Voltage Mode allows you to connect a speaker or combination of speakers with an impedance of 2 to 8 ohms (4 ohms bridged) and provides better sound quality; the Hi-Voltage mode can be used for all four channels.

Pulse power supply regulates fluctuating voltage from a vehicle's battery while being light weight and highly efficient

Direct switch allows for best possible sound

Negative Feed Back circuit can be turned off for clearer sound

Independent voltage amplifier power supply

MOSFET Power Supply

Protection circuits:

Thermal protection

DC current

Speaker terminal short circuit

Indicators on top of unit:

Mode indicator: One of two LEDs illuminate to show if the amp is in High-Current or Hi-Voltage mode

Power/Protection indicators:

Over Current LED illuminates in green during normal operation, switches to amber during an over-current situation

Offset LED illuminates in green during normal operation, switches to amber when voltage going out is too high

Thermal LED illuminates in green during normal operation, switches to amber when the temperature rises to an unsafe level

Best frequency response: 5Hz - 100 kHz (+0/-3dB)

Inputs, Outputs, & Controls

Inputs, Outputs and Controls (all located on front of unit under removal terminal cover):

Gold plated stereo RCA inputs for front and rear channels.

Ground and +12v inputs: Gold plated terminal strip, note that there are two of each of these.

Remote input: Spring clip, accepts wire with AWG 22-16.

Hi-Current/Hi-Voltage switch: Allows you to select operating mode for the C and D channels.

Test Tone recessed button: When pressed puts out a test tone that indicates that the unit is operating properly.

Speaker outputs: For A, B, C and D speakers, two gold plated terminal strips. Bridged mode uses the L+ and R- terminal outputs.

Low Boost level knobs: Two knobs, one for the A/B channels, the other for the C/D channels. Allows you to boost bass by 0 to +10dB (centered at 40Hz).

Level Controls: Two knobs, one for channels AB the other for channels CD. Used to set input level

Direct Switches: Two switches, one for channels AB the other for channels CD. Can turn on or off. In the ON position the input signal does not go through the crossover or bass boost circuitry, which results in a cleaner signal for better sound quality.

Frequency Adjustment controls: Two controls, one for channels AB the other for channels CD, can be varied from 50Hz to 400Hz.

X10 Switches: Two switches, one for channels AB the other for channels CD, used to change crossover frequencies from 50-400Hz to 500Hz to 4kHz

Filter switches: Two crossover switches. Allows you to select low pass, high pass or off for the front and rear channels.

NFB switch: Negative Feed Back switch. Can select on and off, when on negative feed back is applied which reduces certain types of amplifier distortion but which some people claim muddies the sound. Note that usually all amplifiers except high end amplifiers use negative feed back. This switch effects A,B, C and D channels.
