I'm getting rid of my Optima D31A, that's Optima's biggest deep cycle battery. I'm going a different route with my electrical system. It's a great battery. 75 amp hours, 155 minute reserve, 900 cold cranking amps, 1125 cranking amps. This battery usually runs around $300 new. I want $125 for it. I've only had it for about a year. The month and year of purchase were never scratched out of the sticker so you can do that if it ever needs to be warrantied. Next, I have a Cole Hersey 200 amp battery isolator. It's a diode isolator, not a standard selenoid isolator. There is a small voltage drop across a diode isolator which is about .4 volts. Diode isolators completely seperate both batteries at all times while selenoid isolators connect the batteries when the car is on. They are much better if you're going to be using two completely different types of batteries. I've never used it. I was going to connect my D31A and my redtop to it but I can't find a place in my car to store it without having more than 1 run of 1/0 guage wire. I paid $100 for it about 3 weeks ago. I'll do $50 plus shipping on that. I'd prefer the battery to be local because that thing weighs 60 pounds and I don't want to imagine how much shipping would be for it. If someone local wants both pm me for a "package deal." Local pick up also gets a free battery box with mounting hardware. It's the one the battery is in in the pics.
