Not totally old school, but pretty old.
While cleaning out the basement, I came across two Alpine Type VR 10's with a box. Haven't been used since god knows when, but I hooked them up just to try them out and they work perfectly. Included would be the Q-Logic bandpass box, yeah, I know, bandpass ... I guess you could say I have an SQ ear type of deal, but they sound suprisingly good for being a) older, b) in a bandpass box, and c) only getting 100 watts each. Don't believe they've ever seen more than about 100 watts each for an extended period of time --- maybe 2-4 months total playing time, they've really just sat there for the past, oh, year maybe. Great little woofers if you or a friend is looking for something relatively cheap that will get the job done for the time being and time to come. Just because you don't want it, doesn't mean you're friends aren't looking for something //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
Anyways, they are great for lower power (50-250ish) situations. SVC 8ohm, so wire them together in parallel for a 4ohm load. Most two channel amps that do 200-250 @ 4ohm would work well, or again, and mono amp doing about 200 - 400 RMS would be fine.
Would much prefer to sell the whole unit (box and two drivers) as one. Due to shipping, I don't think it would be very practical to ship to Florida ... I'm located in BC, Canada so pretty much all of Canada and the western US would be fairly practical.
I do have some pictures available, and a digital camera here to take more upon request. Will also get exact dimensions of the box and whatever else you need.
You can get ahold of me on AIM - ss3079 or MSN - ss3079@hotmail.com . ss3079@hotmail.com is my main e-mail address - shoot me an e-mail with offers or anything else you need and I'll get back to you as quick as I can //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
