For sale is a used 250 amp Mechman alternator. It was used on my 2000 Chrysler 300M. The alt was tested by Mechman in May of this year and was said to put out "260ish at max and 150 at idle." After it was returned, it has been sitting on my desk at work ever since. Never has been reinstalled. There is a little crack in the plastic where the regulator goes, but it does not affect it plugging in. I have pictures of it. My issue with it was the trouble I had getting it installed. I had a bracket for the bottom fabbed up and once installed, I had a steady 14.0+ with drops near 13.5 at full tilt. I confirmed with Mechman the alt should also fit Dodge Rams with the 4.7L engine as well as Jeep Cherokees which both I would assume would be within the same year as mine(99-01)
I bought the alt new a year ago tomorrow. I am selling because I have been considering selling one of my cars for an SUV or stripping it of all of the car audio related stuff and putting it into my other car. I haven't decided on that yet, but what I have decided was to sell the alt.
Paid 500 for it, asking 350 shipped and insured. Already boxed, but I will put it down in another box before I ship because that's how I roll. Imageshack is not acting right at the moment (just hangs), so until I can post the images from home, I can email the pics I have to anyone interested.
