This unit isolates auxiliary batteries without voltage loss and ensures proper voltage level in the primary (starting) battery by allowing charge to that battery until it reaches 12.5 volts. Once this voltage level has been established, this unit couples all batteries so they can be charged collectively. When the ignition is turned off, this units becomes a one-way gate isolating current from the primary (starting) battery from passing through to the auxiliary batteries.
