I have heard of people running them at 1 ohm without any problem. This is what I was told when inquireing about running at 1 ohm from a respected member of a different forum.

"You can safely run the kicker at 1 ohm as long as you have the electrical to back it. At 1 ohm I would suggest at least two batteries as its not very efficient at one ohm however at 1 ohm the kicker 1500.1 puts out around 2300 watts. I used to run one and also talked to a few team kicker guys who were running them."

It can definitely be ran at 1 ohm and do good power there, but there's no telling how long it'll last. It is a beast of an amp though.

If you run it at 1 ohm you'll probably wanna invest in an external fan for it too. It'll probably get pretty hot

I have a zx1000.1 and have been running it at 1.5 ohms for the last couple weeks to make sure it worked before i tried to sell it and it does great. Barely gets warm. As long as you have a decent electrical system it should be just fine GLWS OP

Thanks man. I'll likely upgrade to the 2500.1 because these things just keep on ticking.

Yeah I have torn up a couple kicker subs, but never had a problem with their amps. They just don't make an amp that puts out the power I need. Except the warhorse but I like to listen to music anyways

The kicker amps are beasts, they do take a beating. I gt the kx2500, loved it so much i bought another i haven't got to use yet. got to get subs to handle them and more power. GLWS
