've come to the conclusion that I'm not going to be using either of these two amps, so they're up for sale. Here are the details:
JL Audio 500/5..... I just picked this up with the intention of using it in my wife's van, simple one amp install, but I didn't realize how large the footprint would be. This thing is way too long..... I'll keep the US Acoustics 6300 as I had originally planned. In any case, the 500/5 is in very good condition, say an 8.5-9/10 for some small scuffing on the brushed heatsink and next to the power/ground terminals. Otherwise, in very good condition cosmetically and 100% fully functional, just tested today. Asking $350 + shipping
Sundown Audio SAX-100.4..... I picked this up over a year ago on this forum, used it for a month or so and then went back to my Monitor 4.70. Great amp, I just don't need all the power and the crossover section as I'm running active off the HU. This amp is pristine except for scarring around the mounting holes, say 9.5/10 and 100% fully functional. The amp also has a bit of history..... this was the final prototype that Jacob auditioned before going into final production on the current model. It looks identical, just missing the "SAX 100.4" badge on the right corner. Makes for a nice collector's piece if you're into that..... asking $300 + shipping
You need speakers? I got speakers!
BM Audio Labs 6.5" comps..... don't know too much about these. Picked 'em up in a trade for some old home audio stuff. Still BNIB, there not world-beaters, but they're okay for a work truck or surf truck or something. Composite basket, composite cone, butyl surround on the mid. 1" neo fabric tweeter. 50W rms/160W max on the system, x-over point on the passives was 5 kHz IIRC. Asking $50 + shipping
Sony Mobile ES 5.25" comps..... also BNIB, I picked these up from Tristan over a year ago on eBay and just never ended up using 'em. The car I had 'em planned for died and they just sat. This is old Sony ES, quality build, quality materials and attention to detail. Composite cone, steel basket, rubber surround. 1" neo fabric tweeter. 50W rms/100W max on the system, x-over point on the passives was 4.5 kHz. Asking $90 + shipping
