Sold FS/FT: New Complete 12" 4hpz or Motor and Top Assy (many pics)

Hello

I made some very special Motors (and 2 subs) for an SPL application several years ago. All of the stock sub and motor parts were new and machined for this app. The design required a lot of extra steel and a huge shorting ring to be added to the stock motor parts so I machined several extra pieces to make 4 motors. (* the 2 I have here had extra special attention over the other 2 that have been sold, they have a little more force, though it doesn't matter because they all 4 have more force than any other motor I know of)

Here is the extra stuff that's been done to the motors:

machined a bigger diameter and longer solid low carbon pole

cut off the T and machined the backplate for a press

machined a smaller diameter steel ring to press inside the topplate gap

machined an alum core to take up the inside of the motor

machined copper rings to fit on top and bottom of the alum (*never got put in..)

added an extra .75 magnet slug

engraved the logo my bro drew on the back of the pole

used a super tweaky edge wound underhung coil in the protos

The sub and top assy are new and have never been played other than the 1 watt from Praxis for measurement. (they are Single 3ohm) The only issue at all is the Top Assy has had the dust cap dented, I pushed it back out but it should be reinforced or replaced to assure no issues.

I'll offer either the Complete 12" Sub or the Motor and Top Assy (together) for a sale or trade.

I'd like to trade for a mint condition (old style) SounDigital SD3000 or SD5000 or a CA Handgun (cash either way depending)

A note about these motors and subs:

People seem only concerned about the power handling.

These motors were designed to run off of 500 watts each.

The coils may be able to take 3-4 times that but the design intent was to be super efficient and not need tons of power. (the 4 subs were going to run off of 2 Zapco 9.0's)

I just wanted to note that these motors were made for Max Efficiency and Not Power Handling. (tight sealed gap) It's also noticed too, because they are 4.5db more efficient than the Neo test subs I made at the same time. (and the Neo's hit above the WR at the time in 2 orgs with no testing..)

Not sure if ppl realize just how special these complete drivers are! I hope that you don't mind me posting this pic, but the only reason why I wanted to post. Was to show ppl that my motor is no where near as nice as the one's that you kept and gave them that extra attention! Matt's motors/drivers are a lil stronger than my motor, but also miles ahead of mine in the looks department as well. Plz keep in mind that there's is now only three existing 4hpz motors as the 4th was destroyed //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif So the remaining motors are extremely rare, especially Matt's 4hpz's!!! If you consider yourself a true TC collector than these are for you as it doesn't get anymore rarer than this!

Sorry I think you sent me a email a little while ago and I forgot to email you back. I got it on my phone at work and forgot all about it.. I sold the subs.. But I'm here to bump your post up because people I bought two subs a couple years ago from him for HT and they were built like tanks and never had a issue. He was the best person I've ever dealt with when dealing with buying used. I would have no issue doing it again. I've been away from car audio because I drive a s2000 and well if you have seen it you should get the idea. Matt sub looks great hope you sell it for what you want .. I regret selling the 15's so much
