can the 9833 and 9835 be turned into a dead head? What I mean is, is there an option to make it turn off the internal amplifier?

I have an 8053 right now.....I've always wanted to try and alpine though.

Yes you can turn off the internal amp and just use the preamp outputs. Also as far as I know you still need the controller for the c701.

In mine its in the main menu when you press menu. Dont hold it just a single press. Scroll through and it should say PI-C or something like that. Turn it OFF //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
