How did the rust happen to get there? Have you been running the speakers or have they been in storage?

no you can probly get the rust off of it with some sort of cleaner

are both of the subs like that with the rust at the bottom

both subs are like that, the one pictured is the worst one. no it does not effect performance, and the magnets can always be painted
