frustrating eq settings

Ok, maybe someone can help...maybe. I have a pioneer deh p3600 hu. bout a month ago i put in jl xr 6.5 components in my doors. My issue, i have set the eq several times and cant find the sound i want. when i had my previous sony chits i had nice pronounced and clear guitar and snare drum sound. i listen to mostly rock. im not getting that with my jl's everything about my jl's sounds great except for that. here is what i have my eq settings at currently. will probly change in about 30 min looking for a better sound. bass 63+2 Treble 4K+1

low:100-2wide mid:1K-1narrow high"10K-1wide maybe im way off, who knows.

low is at +2 mid 0 high +1

are the JL's amped or on headunit power?

Most higher end speaker setups like that are going to sound like crap, unless you feed them a good amount of power.

i two channels of a kicker 350.1 amp going to them. about 60 watts rms til i get a bigger amp. i thought about bridging the channels and giving them 175 rms but i thought that might b a bit much for those speakers.
