i really dont plan on "winning" comps.. im not even really gonna compete that much, like i said in my first post, it will be daily

i just want it to sound crisp and clear, but at the same time get decently loud..

i like my DD, but its time for a change

and cshaw, no im not keeping the neon, the ****** is going in it, and as of now, i have no reverse and it sounds like 1st is on its way out..

Have you tried the DD tuned to 35Hz? I've built a few boxes for them like that and they sound solid for daily.

I run my AQ's at 35hz and with the LPF at 63Hz, and plenty of mid bass up front SQ is very good. Stage is about middle of the windshield, bass comes from up front, etc... But when I turn up the remote gain it gets plenty loud for daily. Q is also a good sounding sub that will get pretty loud also.

Run some decent comps up front, take the time to install them properly, and spend plenty of time tuning it all, so it blends/sounds the way you want.

What is your front stage like? Xover settings, EQ, etc... it all makes a big diff. I run the remote gain turned WAY down for daily and the SQ is very good. But on days when I'm in the mood I can crank it up and it slams. Sort of dual purpose system...

onbes like almsot blown, the tweeters dont work, lol

and i got 2 1.5" hertz slik domes..

no amp.. gong to the deck

distorted and sound like crap!

I would work on my front stage first, to me thats the most important thing in your car.

the most important thing is to have a very good front stage. the more power the better. and i'd also look into going active for the extra tuning it allows.
