From alpine MRP-M1000 to AQ1200D sound difference?

Ok, running 2 12W6v2's in a sealed box. Currently powering them with an Alpine MRP-M1000, which is putting out 600 watts becasue I can only run this setup 4 ohms as the amp is not 1 ohm stable.

Ordered an AQ1200D which is capable of running at 1ohm therefore 1200 watts.

Since this is pretty much doubling the wattage to my subs do you really think there will be that big of a sound difference?

It does hit pretty good now, but i'm always looking for more.

Yes I know a ported box will be louder, but trunkspace is important to me too.

Just looking for opinions.

possibly a 3dB gain which should be quite noticeable to the ear...
