well remember the MP3 of the guy that tried to cancel his AOL and the guy harassed him and wouldnt cancel the account? Well we've had an old AOL account on top of our regualr bellsouth DSL for years. My wife had this aol account before we got married and weve been married 9 years on the 25th. Anyways she calls up to cancel the account since we dont use it and its a waste of $15 a month. Well the ****ing guy did the same shit to her. I had to call the credit card company and tell them any transactions coming from AOL are fraudulent and not authorized.

He kept with the whole well why do you want to get rid of it? Well give it another month, shit like that. and yes the account was active because my wife logged into the accountt before she called to make sure she didnt have anything she needed in the email LOL.

They did that to us too when we had AOL a few years ago. They just wouldn't cancel it, my dad ended up staying on the phone about 2 hours one day just to get it cancelled.

ahh the old we'll-give-you-another-month-to-try. i've always told them to terminate the account, this lady told me it was more serious than saying canceling the account; it worked for me

My parents still have my orginal AOL acount from 1991

I remember back in the day of 2400 baud modems I used to get AOL monthly fees in the $100-150s 3 bucks an hour damn...

While I was overseas this last trip to Oz for my wedding someone fraudulantly signed me up for AOL.

I called 'em as soon as I got back stateside and saw the charge to my bank account. Canceled the account b/c I never ordered it to begin with (get better service for less $$ with Bellsouth) and they gave me all the pertinent info including the cancellation number.

I then start getting mail saying they are going to sue me for their inability to withdraw the monthly charge for the service (remembering this is service I never ordered or authorized) as I had filled out an affidavit of unauthorized ACH withdrawal from my checking account.

It took about 14 million phone calls and finally correspondence from my dad's lawyer before those idiots quit bothering me.

Just as soon as you get them on the phone just say I WANT TO CANCEL MY ACCOUNT.

as long as you arent profane they cant hang up on you and will eventually get frustrated and do it. plus you win.

A. tell them to hold on.....make a 3 way call to my lawyer

or

B. Tell them to hold on....dial 911, then flip over so they hear "911, what is your emergency" hahahahah, that would be GREAT!!!!

yeah I had AOL back with 2.5 myself I had the original name of Ruckus but when I got married they wouldnt let me move the account over so i switched to envy Ruckus

long time ago i was at my grandmothers (when i was like 15 and couldnt drive) i did the free trial thing, and then i canceled the next day, they did the SAME thing. my grandmother had to cuss them out to get it canceled.
