Friends dual 10's kick the crap out of my dual 12's??

Well you were right it sounds phenominal now. You can feel the bass go right through you but I messed up bad! When I was testing it out I didnt wanna bolt everything down untill I saw that it sounded better so I placed one of my amps on the top of the sub box and when I put it real loud it vibrated it right off and it fell and cracked one of the speaker cones. Not that bad and it still sounds mint but the question I have is with the cone moving is it gonna make the crack grow and eventually render the speaker useless?

Slap some gorilla tape over the crack...

yeah that will work it may not look pretty but it will hold the sub together

YOU CRACKED THE SPEAKER CONE?! GET A HAZARD MASK, MAKE SURE YOU DON'T INHALE, BECAUSE THERE IS ELECTRO-DYNAMIC MERCURY GAS IN THOSE SUB WOOFERS AND BY CRACKING THE CONE!!!

LIKE I SAID, GET A HAZARD MASK TAKE THE SUB OOUT, DOUSE IT IN GASOLINE, AND BURN IT.

Then once you've don't all that, take a piece of plastic and coverup the empty hole you left. Thebox should actually be louder now, because the plastic is acting as a passive radiator!

Yup you got me soo scared I went out and took the whole sub box with both subs all my amps and burned everything!!! I aint falling victim to the electro dynamic mercury gas!!! Thank you for saving my life!!

those ****** jl's are horrible. i picked up a w3 12 for fun and i dropped a ****** bolt on it and it cracked the whole cone....plastic crappy overpriced garbage. sounded like absolute shit and got about as loud as a fart even before the cone problem.

anyone here will agree there are too many to just name, they will also agree that jl is not the way to go. a jl product rly isnt bad as a product to an audio novice, but the hype/quality/price do not match the reality of the jl products.

throw some glue on the crack from behind the cone so its not seen. I did this many years ago when I dropped an amp on a kicker cvr 15 I had and it worked fine for me

and jl makes great subs, however, I wouldnt go lower than the w3 line

You should get Fi BL basswoofer, it is called the "BL" because it is "bloody loud". One time it took my Fi BL to gay par in ukrane and made man ***** men like the ****** again; great sucess!

Another time I was on spring break with my comrads, and I played natural geographic whale video, and my bass woofer play whale call ery loud, next day; beached whale in taiwan when NBC interview whale, whale say he wanted bass demo from my basswoofer. Very nice
