Well Im looking in to getting a setup for my truck. I have ruffly $700 to spend. I have a 1990 Nissan Pathfinder. I dont know much about the wattage and crap like that. I just really want the most bang for my buck. What do you think i should get. I might be able to get $800 but it will take me longer.

FI BL's are pretty cheap and good subs one of the guys just got his meter'd and did a 140.4 on a sweep on a TL in a jeep I think he has... not to bad imo running a 1000w alpine amp...

a pair of R 12"s would be pretty good too, I did a box for my buddy running a pair of R 12"s in a 90 pathy and he's doing 142s on the new TL with an RF T1000 amp pushing them he did the 142's playing airforces by young jezzy. box is 6.5ft^3 86in^2 port tuned to 35hz... slot port down the middle of the box one sub on each side all rear firing... most suv's are loudest subs up ports back... so he could get louder with a new box and a little elbow grease...

just giving some examples of whats out there, Audioque subs are good also and you can get them pretty cheap. you could get a pair of SD 2.5s for about $300 or a single HD3

for amps there's alot of good ones around, kicker 2500.1, exile 2400.1, sundown 1500.1 are a few I'd like to play with, orion 2500.1, Incriminator 20.1... big list to choose from, get an 0awg amp kit off ebay too they can be got cheap, or knukonceptz.com get a few feet on here in the classifieds for your big 3 and pick up a decent batt or two and you're set. down the line you can get mids and a mids amp. pg xenon amps are sick too imo //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif and have been comming up cheap lately.

I like JVC arsenal decks I run a dvd in my truck, and my buddy had an arsenal mp3 player and now has a dvd also and I've had mine for about 2 years and it's still going good. I like alpine too, but they cost alot more

Wow thanks man thats alot of good info. I like the idea of that 15''. My Pathfinder is 2 wheel drive so the spare is in the hatch back so im limited on space, so i couldnt do the Type R's. I'll look in to the stuff you posted.

we pulled his spare out, it was in the hatch area also with an interior matched cover iirc... he hasn't looked back since then... oh yeah, the roof and hatch rattle like a mofo lol

I have a Nissan X-Terra with 2 -12" L7s. I don't have much space left in the back due to the size of the enclosure. You would think the back hatch would rattle like hell, but suprisingly it isn't to bad.

Throw you some R's or L7s in there with about 1500w.

I just went out to my truck and did messuring and the total space with spare is 33'' wide 29'' long and thats taking up all the space in the hatch. if i can take out the spare and the spare rack I would have 39'' wide.

Maybe you can mount the spare underneath the rear.

I'd vote for 2 MACH 5 MJ-18's...$215 shipped. Need an amp that will do 1200+@2ohms and build a big sealed or ported box and let em wang....

I would have to check but I think I have a gas tank there. I think that I might just take it out b/c last time I tryed to change my tire the spare went flat too.
