frequency viewing program

is there a program out there that allows you to see the frequency of the song you're listening to as it's going? i've been into making bass tests and i can't tell how low the songs are. any help?

Just download some bass test tones.

They have songs that play cycles and sweeps.

EMNB (CD Album collection) has a ton, you can get them off of just about any file sharing program out there (ex: limewire)

I'm just saying you'll know what they are playing.

Just trying to make it simple for you before you run out with a microphone up ur *** and a laptop in your hand trying to "measure" the freq. your songs are playing at.

Edit...oh well, didn't see the "making my own bass test" part.

Perhaps you could just use some of the clips as samples in toss them in there.

I was thinking he was trying to figure out the freq. of some song he was playing, didn't relize the songs matterd because he was making them. (didn't see that apart of his post)

fruity loops, sometimes with some sweeps in the background.

You can import wave* files as beats to slice, importing the track you can get the freq you want.

Just change it from mp3 to a wave file, then goto file>import and select the track/test tone.
