Frequencies and Equalizing - in 24 hours

Was wondering where are some goood , GOOOOD sites that speak/teach of the fundamentals of frequencies, and equalizing.

If any1 would like to briefly explain

I have a general idea, but it's still fuzzy.

What frequencies are REALLY important???

What are the type of products that can play what freq?

Like subs are anywhere from 120-100 and down, stuff like that.

Just would like to know what Freqs would i be covering if i had the setup mentioned below, and what might be missing?

What frequencies are REALLY important???

Well, the midrange frequencies are where the bulk of the music will fall into and where a lot of the imaging cues come from. But, that's not to say the other frequencies aren't important aswell. If you have excellent midrange, but the midbass is lacking or very peaky, then the stereo still won't sound very good. So, it's all relative.

What are the type of products that can play what freq?Like subs are anywhere from 120-100 and down, stuff like that.

Subs: 10hz ~ 70hz or 80hz

Midbass: 70hz or 80hz ~ 350hz

Midrange: 350hz ~ 4500hz

Tweeter: ~4500hz and up

If we are talking about horns:

Subs: 10hz ~ 70hz or 80hz

Midbass/Midrange: 70hz or 80hz ~ 650hz to 1000hz (depending on horn style and model)

Horn: 650hz to 1000hz and up

thats for my ID CD2 horns, adire 8" koda midbass, and adire tempest setup.

Ok great.

I plan on investing in some Eqs and Crossovers, but first will be reading up more on how to actually EQ properly.

my 2 cents is 200hz is your "moo"/muddy zone while around 1.3k gives presence...just playing around with different equalizers (like winamp) will help what frequencies depict what.
