I can get r-12 at a decent price R-22 is going to get quite expensive in the upcoming years also.

In the movie were they using the Freon just like nitrous? Beause because when you say "chill kit" I'm thinking refridgeration system with the evaporator in the air intake, which would cool the incoming air... so why the **** would the refridgerant be flammable? I guess I'd have to see the sitty movie myself to see WTF you're talking about. But that' not gonna happen.

Anyway, the only thing that I have to say that really has any bearing is... Refridgerant in a cylinder is a compressed gas and liquid, and if something causes the tank to rupture it WILL "a-splode".

Speaking of compressed tanks.... I really gotta get a 100lb cylinder of Liquid nitrogen sometime and freeze the shit outta some stuff...
