FREE Subwoofers for Review

Mine should be here tomorrow //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/yumyum.gif.0556df42231b304b9c995aefd13928a8.gifSo anybody be up for a "vmi challenge" so who can put up the highest numbers from a pair of these subs? I plan to take mine to a competition this weekend as part of my review....so anyone else interested? Should be few sets out there with this giveaway:naughty:
I am running my first comp in a couple days after they get here so I am going to run the meter on my cvrs and then these the same day with only a couple crossover tweaks so I will have a comparison to a known product, then running an iasca comp the weekend after and going to try and do the same thing so I will post vids and pics so yes I am game

I got my shipping notification today for two 10" dual 4's The email reply I got from Kush recommends an enclosure 16" l x 13" h x 8" w So I guess they prefer them sealed. I kinda wanted to do a ported enclosure and tune them low, but I guess I'll stick with sealed.

Fedex says delivery tomorrow, 8/29

Edit;

Fedex tracking now says one is scheduled for delivery tomorrow and one for Friday.

I have a sealed box at 1.5cft and a 2.0 cu ported @31hz i will be testing mine in. Does anyone anyone in north ms or southeast tn have a meter? In comps around ms soon? Would like to pull some numbers for my review as well.

My srw15s just arrived. They have a somewhat stiff Single spider attached to what looks like a 2" coil, I am pleased to see good cooling features. Doesnt seem to have much excursion room, maybe 1" peak to peak although this is just preliminary(pushin on the cone) as I havent installed them yet. Also, they do seem to be well constructed. Im no professional so Im not really sure how to decifer the T/S numbers but it does appear that my 32hz box will suit them just fine. The packaging is plenty acceptable(very good) and the lil owners manual is also informative enough. Overall they do seem abit shiny and cheesy, which is prolly apealing to the targeted buyers in this price range. I am including a pic of the T/S parameters for anyone that cares to read them and also general pics of the subwoofer itself. I should also add that VMInnovations has Super fast shippin! From Pa to Fla in 2 days.

I'm awaiting mine and a couple other goodies, voltmeter, toggle switches for my fans and lights, and some matching 3 foot RCA's for my xover to amp runs

I'll post unboxing and initial reactions when they get here

they look better in person!!! magnets small but not as small as pic makes it look...

fed ex jacked my boxes up, i swear they don't like me!!! subs were fine

anybody notice the wattage, vm told me 500rms 1000mx, so does the book, but the box says 800w?

it would help us non box builders if you put the cubic feet for each enclosure too, instead of just putting the measurements, i had to pull out torres, wiring diagram was kinda cool but if your going to use the words series and parallel explain it and the ohm loads a little more...

Wow, I just ran the numbers for the 15s on the12volts calcs and I got 3.5cubes before displacement and a tune of 47hz after? Is this correct? Silly me but I thought u use the fs number for general tunig? I mean I know there are other factors but 47hz really? What do u think man?

seems kinda high to me, but thats why i'm running sealed... lol but remember your also not running a $500 sub, so performance is not gonna be that of a $500 sub, and as far as tuning and box building, i let the experts take care of that, i'm running a prefab sealed enclosure, my whole set up is going to be budget just with stuff i can seeing somebody purchasing with these subs, a decent prefab sealed box and a apsm1300...
